Gabion work brings together cage assembly and stone placement. Our Hillcrest project shows the completed gabion retaining wall, along with excavation, cage assembly and stone-filling work.

Retaining-wall rebuilding

At the Umhlanga coastal project, SLC rebuilt a retaining wall and placed stone-filled gabion cages in front to protect the wall and its foundations. Photographs show the existing wall, foundation work and completed rebuilt wall with protective gabions.
